I would like to introduce you all to the brand new Pythons Blog. I have been looking at this blog for a while now thinking that it lacks personalization and could do with some improvement. From this line of thought I decided to redesign my blog from the ground up. Not only have I brought in a complete new design but I am also introducing a couple of new features. Here is a brief tour of the design and new features.
If you haven’t noticed already, the front page of the blog has been reworked and is now made up of a new layout. Previously I simply had a list of all the recent blog entries on the left accompanied by a menu on the right. Now however I have added a new block at the top which displays the latest post in a more prominent position. Doing this allows users to see what the latest content is easier. To the right of the first post at the top of the front page you will find two new blocks: recent comments and sponsors.
The recent comments block simply displays the latest 5 comments which have been made throughout the blog. You can quickly and easily jump to the post in which they are related to by clicking on the posters name.

Just below that is the sponsors block which lists up to 3 links. The reason behind having a place for sponsors is so that I can perhaps in the future generate a small revenue from this web site. In the mean time however I will place only links to my web sites. If you are interested in becoming a sponsors don’t hesitate to get in touch.

The introduction of the new design is also to be accompanied by new categories and of course a lot more blog posts. In the past I have put this web site to the side as I concentrated on other projects however now that I have a little spare time Ill do my best to make an entry as often as possible.
If you have any comments or suggestions regarding the new design or anything else for that matter don’t hesitate to leave a comment.
Thanks

I have just added two links into the sidebar. They allow you to submit the page to digg and delicious.
